Questions and Answers – FAQs

How can I book you?

Email or phone me for the payment details. The most important, to secure your date ,you need to pay a booking fee, from that moment I turn all other jobs down for your wedding day . Then pay the remaining of your balance 30 days before your wedding date.

How much is the booking fee?
The amount of booking fee deepens on which package you choose. It is normally 20% but some special offer may require more.

How can I pay?
Either bank transfer or PayPal, +4% transaction fee on PayPal payments(sorry that’s PayPal not me)

If I pay via PayPal do I ger covered by PayPal buyer protection right?
Sorry to disappoint you, PayPal doesn’t cover services, if you don’t believe me read it your self , check PayPal terms and conditions #13.4 there is list what are excluded from buyer protection. Photography is a service,  that means paying via PayPal pretty much same as paying via bank transfer apart bank transfer doesn’t charge you for 4% transaction fee.

Can you hold a date for me?
I’m so sorry, but I can’t hold the date for you, I can pencil a question mark in my diary. To be fair to everyone I can’t “hold” a date without a retainer and a signed contract. I accept bookings on a first come/first served basis.
When do I we need to pay?
After securing your date by paying the booking fee, I will reserve your date for you and will turn any other jobs down at that day. You need to clear the rest of your balance 30 days before your wedding date.

Why I can’t pay after the wedding?

I want you to see that from your prospect. Until you don’t pay your photographer in full, he/she is not responsible to turn up and do the job for you. If you only pay at the day, you will only figure at your day if your photographer will turn up or not,  so why not secure your photographer in advance  and then you don’t need to worry. As a photographer on my side I can’t afford to gamble and see after 6 months of waiting finally will I get paid or not. I only can accept secured jobs.
What’s your style?
My goal is keep everything look natural. The final goal is to create a photo what you can hang on the wall and if you would be happy look at that photo every day that’s what I call a good photo. I try to avoid all the fancy photoshop effect, never seen in my life acid green grass, neon blue sky, radioactive red trees. I like to create eyes catching photos but also I want stay in planet Earth.

I can’t pose, do I need to practice before my wedding?
The most important thing what you need to do before your wedding is to relax. Don’t stress about posing. Unless you want some very special poses for your wedding you don’t need to practice any pose at all, we can understand most of the brides and grooms are not models with some very little instructions it is easy to achieve a natural look, either we talking about candid or portrait photos.
How many photos will I receive?
Every wedding is different, the amount of the images never the same, I can assure you I never stopped and won’t stop taking photos just because I already hit my ‘target’.

What does the price include?
I have several packages trying to cover everyone’s needs, at my price list you can see a detailed list about every package.

Other photographers can work for £150 full day cover, including album and prints, why don’t you offer the same?
As they say if it’s too nice to be true then it’s not. Someone offers you,10 hours of photography and 30 hours of editing  + printing an album and giving you prints for £150 then you should ask your self, how is that possible? Well,  probably you just about to be scammed. There are no shortcuts. Although you might find someone who just starting out and offer lower rate to expand his/her portfolio, you might get luck maybe not end of the day you get what you paid for. However if someone claims to be in the business for 20 years and still charge £150 for a full day wedding, just think that person working 40 hours a week to get £150, that’s £3.75/hour!!!!!

Are you insured?
Yes.

Do you offer off-season and weekday discounts?
Some times yes, check my price list to see any actual offer.

Do we get the copyright of the images?

Copyright is something that I get asked about often. Many photographer include a “copyright release” in their contracts, which basically just means the same as a release to have your images printed by yourself, or any lab you choose. That’s not the same as obtaining copyright! Copyright simply means that I am the creator of the images. Copyright transfers are not possible, but you will have the ability to print and share your images as much as you’d like and use them for personal proposes.

Do you provide video services as well?
At the moment I only can offer photography services.
